postheadericon Rok Ness Revenge Spring 24 Hour - 21-22 August 2021

Welcome to ROK NESS REVENGE, this year's Spring 24 hour rogaine. Deep in the SouthWest, we are re-using a map from over 20 years ago, a map that presented a lot of challenges to the top teams then. It has uncrossable rivers, vertical hill slopes and thick bush (though not of the parrotbush variety). But if that sounds too hard, well, there are heaps of tracks and most of the terrain is of the flatter variety. We promise lots of controls in the gentle country close to Hash House, and so those who want to take it relatively easily have been catered for. And careful route planning will mean you can avoid the really tricky stuff. Leave that to the top rogainers who seem to enjoy punishing their bodies.

The Hash House will be located in a public campground managed by the Parks and Wildlife Service of WA. The site is not ideal for WARA purposes, because there are only a limited number of individual campsites. So we will need to squeeze in. Bring the small tent and avoid bringing the caravan if possible (we will be able to provide additional info on space once entries close and we know how many campers we are have to fit in! There will not be a large central fire, but small campfires on the individual sites are permitted. However, according to Parks and Wildlife, campers will need to bring their own firewood. On the plus side, for those of us who haven't seen enough in recent weeks – many hash sites have water views. ;-)

So this event will cater for everybody, and we hope to see you there. But get in early, as numbers may be limited.

NOTE: As the hash site for the Rok Ness Revenge Rogaine is in a DPAW campsite we are restricted to the number of campers we can have at the site. Taking into consideration volunteers, we are limited to 320 competitors in this rogaine.
So get your entries in early so that you do not miss out.

Note: if you are planning on not camping overnight at all, please make a note in the comments area when entering and/or email Owen Horton at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it so that we can make sure that you are not included in the number of campers.
