postheadericon Myth Busters Mountain Bike Rogaine 4 May 2014

This special edition of the program, presented by Orienteering WA, runs for three hours so you will definitely get your money’s worth.  If you get too excited, upset or are just so fast that you complete the whole course then you can always come back early and regale your friends with stories about the control you punched whilst still moving.  All controls use electronic punching so this will actually be possible!

Oh, did I mention that the event is the day after the Dam Busters rogaine (Sunday May 4) and starts from the same location?  What convenience!  So if 12hrs of rogaining goodness on foot just isn’t enough to satisfy you or you want to try and beat your score from Saturday, bring along the bike and have another go.  You can compete on your own, in a pair or even with your rogaine team.  If you don’t you will totally wish you had.

What to bring: mountain bike (or good hybrid bike); helmet; water (water will be provided for refilling on course); SI tag & compass (also available as part of the entry fee); cord or string for attaching tag so you don’t lose it; map board (available for hire)

Registration: 8:30-9:45am
Briefing: 9:50am (maps handed out after this)
Start: 10am
Finish: 1pm

Note: all entries are ‘on the day’ ($10 for OAWA/WARA members; $20 groups and all others; juniors half price) but please indicate your intention to attend on the Dam Busters online entry form – this will not commit you to entry but will assist with map printing numbers
