A leisurely 2hour drive SSE of the city with a bakery bash at Bannister or the Miami Bakery will place you in the bush for the Winter 6 hour ( 12-6pm ) Arboretum Rogaine. 

This event will have both a family friendly set of close-by Controls and a flip side of sinew stretching, hard gained points for the more committed. No ticks and minimal prickle bushes were encountered during the setting so far, which should allow for concentration on a quirky local information quiz for a separate award. 

Camping in the rogaine area is not available but with a finish and BBQ at 6pm everyone should get home at a reasonable hour.

Location

Approx 2hrs from Perth down Albany Hwy.
Detailed directions will be included in the event info PDF  that is available for competitors to download from the Monday before the event.

Event Schedule

The Hash House will be BBQ sausages and drinks as for a 6 hour event.

Sat 10am - event maps become available and you have an opportunity to plan your course and outing prior to the start
Sat 1030am - a novice clinic is held for all those interested in getting an introduction to rogaining and navigation
Sat 1145am - pre-event briefing at the start
Sat 12pm - event start - you are free to head out into the field and start scoring points by locating controls
Sat 4pm - the BBQ food starts and you are free to come and go and eat as you please
Sat 6pm - event finish - any team arriving after this time gets penalised 10 points per minute
Sat 630pm - event close - teams arriving after this time are disqualified
Sat 645pm - results are read out and badges awarded

Entry

Adult $40, Junior (10 - 18) $20, Child (under 10) Free
Note Membership is included in the entry fee for all.
Non-participants pay the same fee as participants (our costs are mainly food, facilities and transport).
Entries close Sunday midnight prior to the event.
Between 2 and 5 people per team.
Refund for cancellations until close of entries.
