Setting and Vetting Seminar 19 Oct 2024
The annual WARA Setting and Vetting Day will be held on Saturday October 19th 2024, 9am to 4pm. This is a free event.
The day will be held 30mins east of Perth CBD, and is a fun day covering many aspects of vetting, setting, planning and mapping a WARA event. A short hike to practice vetting controls will feature, as the hall is located in some beautiful forest, as will practice in the use of Oomapper.
Attendance at the day is encouraged for all rogainers, even if you are simply curious to understand the process of organising a rogaining event. Experienced setters are on hand to answer questions and facilitate, and we can even tell you a little on how the Australian Rogaining Championships came together. Bring along a laptop during the day - as this will allow plenty of practice in preparing your own rogaine map. The volunteer sheet will be available to sign up onto for keen setting and vetting participants, but is not a compulsory part of the event!
