postheadericon Over the Watershed Rogaine - 18/19 June 2011

The Over the Watershed rogaine will be using the Chadora campsite for the hash site. We have used it before but this won’t help anyone as the controls will be placed mostly in new locations. The area is all forest country with Jarrah the most common tree. There are a few small farms along one of the rivers, but these will all be out of bounds, so no help there. Running across the middle of the map is the watershed between the South Dandalup River system and the Murray River system. We will be camping in the Murray River catchment in the southern part of the map because this is not a drinking water catchment area. The area is small for a 24 hour event so we will be setting the controls fairly close together to keep the competitive teams busy for the full time. For the more relaxed and social teams this will mean that you will be able to get a good score without travelling too far.

Expect to find a nice camp site which you will be able to use on Friday and Saturday nights. We will also have the fire going on Saturday night and Sunday morning. And the hash house will be back! If you are travelling down to the event on Friday evening you can have a good meal at the Dwellingup Pub. And on Sunday afternoon you should be able to pick up a coffee on the way home as you pass through Dwellingup. The setters and vetters look forward to providing you with the best rogaine experience we can offer.

Come down on the Friday night and socialise around the fire whilst having a sausage sizzle. You never know, the setters might even drop a hint about where to go or what controls to avoid.

The Paddy Pallin WA Schools Rogaining championships will run concurrently with this event.

Entries are now closed.
