Great Depression 6 Hour Rogaine - 19 March 2005
Welcome to The Great Depression, a time of hardship, struggles, and determination in the face of overwhelming odds. Fortunately, times will not be as tough on this event, as you traverse vast open farmland, climb the many hills, or perhaps take a dip in the Avon River, though the Depression has caused it to run a bit dry this year.
Just a leisurely horse and cart ride northeast of Perth, this historical area offers many sites unexplored by regular tourists. Use your navigation abilities to take you to points of interest. Help the farmers plough their fields using 20th century tools (ploughing is optional). Follow the depressed sheep as they go about their daily activities. The choices are endless (warning – choices end after six hours).
So if you’re up to the test, come on down on March 19 and take the challenge. See if you too can endure The Great Depression.
Ricky, Jim, Mark and Paul
Note – Owing to shortages in this era, participants are asked to supply their own food for a barbecue following the event.
