postheadericon The DIDO 12 Hour Rogaine - 8 October 2022 -CANCELLED

***Event cancelled due to burn-off in area***

Setting and vetting are in good shape for this event. It will be close to the SE edge of Perth, which is fortunate because it is entirely in a water catchment area and competitors won't be able to camp overnight (sad emoji). You Drive In, do the rogaine and Drive Out, unless you are helping out next morning. Need to plan ahead if collecting controls etc – more details with the event instructions. The Hash House location still is still in flux. It will be easily accessible with regular cars but caravans are unlikely to be a good idea – TBC with upcoming entry announcement.

It's all in bushland with an A3 map at 1:50,000. There are plenty of controls within a reachable distance for beginners and families. There are further opportunities for rogainers with high ambitions; controls are set up to 500 metres above sea level – great view if you can get there.

We have seen a range of wildlife – echidnas, kangaroos, emus and (just one) dugite. The bush isn't too thick if creek beds and swamps don't count! Lots of roads and tracks in various stages of disrepair. There is something for everyone.

Entries close Wednesday midnight 10 days prior to event
