NEWS FLASH: A no-flame electric BBQ has been organised, so there will be a sausage sizzle!

This event is to be held approximately 90 km south east of Perth in the Darling Range, in a bushland area that some of us old rogainers may be familiar with. It's an easy drive down the Brookton highway about 90 minutes from the city and just follow the Rogaine signs to the hash house. Take care on the unsealed roads there are some bumpy spots.

The bushland has varying obstacles from thick bush short sharp gullies to broad open forest walking. Most of the controls are on good features and lots of controls are not too far from the hash house for new and social rogainers. There are some controls features that have been carefully chosen to reward and test the better navigators. The Hash House is positioned in the southern half of the course making route choice an interesting and easy for the social and a challenge if aiming for maximum points.

Definitely no open fire of any sort, and camping is not allowed ( Dpaw rules.) There will be an electric BBQ saussage sizzle after the rogaine so prepare for some socialising!

Control collectors will be needed so if night navigation skills need honing here's great opportunity.

See you on the 7th March.
