WARA Setting and Vetting Training Day

Saturday 11th September 2021, 9am-4pm, John Forrest National Park

Ever wanted to learn more about how WARA sets events? Curious about the possibility of assisting in vetting an event but so far not had the courage to volunteer and want to know what is involved? Want to learn how to use or develop more skills in OOMapper our rogaine mapping system? The WARA Setting and Vetting training day is for you! Come along to a free one-day session held by a team of experienced WARA setters at a hall within John Forrest National Park, an easy 30km east of Perth CBD. We will be running through aspects of the WARA setting and vetting manual, practice setting and vetting a few controls weather permitting, and spend the afternoon working within the OOMapper environment to plan an event. To make the most of this session, participants should be able to bring along a Windows-based laptop with OOMapper (free) installed. There is absolutely no obligation to set or vet a future event if you attend this session, but a volunteer sign-up sheet will be available!
To register to attend the event or for more information, please email the WARA Training Officer Ann at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
