postheadericon Deja View Rogaine - 8/9 August 2009

For those who did “The Dish” Rogaine 7 years ago near New Norcia, the Hash House site and the rolling green hills that provided stunning views across the farmlands will be familiar. However, the control sites have been cunningly changed to take in most of the wooded hilltops, rocky breakaways, gullies and bush blocks whilst avoiding most of the crops that are springing up in the lower paddocks. Controls are also strategically placed near “The Dish”, the Monastery and the historic New Norcia Hotel for those who need satellite or
spiritual guidance or just a spirit or two to pick you up along the way. For the serious rogainers chasing a State Champion trophy there will be plenty of route choices and fences to keep them in check; and other challenges if the rivers and streams are running high.

For the local farmers, the last Rogaine was the social event of the year and our host for the HH site is looking forward to seeing everybody back again enjoying themselves. So if you are fed up with wandering around Wandering and want a Rogaine with a difference, then head north in August, less than 2 hours from Perth and enjoy the country views and the historic townsite.
