Gday fellow rogainers. WARA has pulled out the Big Guns to set the State Champs and have asked Bryan McClintock to get a team together and who better to ask than The Legend to join in plus the event would then have some credibility. In sheer desperation we asked Bill Baxter and Geoff Hearne to be our vetters. We have now set the event in the Collie area and have put out 73 controls and some are even in the right place . Told you we were good. This is an all bush rogaine and Bryan has estimated that around a 100 km course will get you the lot so the challenge has been laid. We have made sure that there are plenty of controls around the HH area for those who are planning shorter courses and of course there will be a decent fire for you all to sit around and complain how the control was in the wrong place, bush was too thick, the electric fence was still on and how lucky you were to escape from the feral pigs. There is plenty of room to camp so all you sooks with caravans (me included) can find a nice spot. Just a friendly heads up - to all those arriving after  5pm and early morning, be aware that there are quite a few emus and skippies around so please take care driving to the HH once in the forest. We are looking forward to seeing you all down here and we reckon we have set some really nice sites so please make the State Champs a successful event by entering. The name of the event? Gotta be the "Dam Good Rogaine". Seeyas. The Legend xx

WARA Dryandra Rogaine Training Event 2023

May 26^th-28^th 2023, Lions Dryandra Woodland Village

Dear Rogainers, WARA welcomes you to their rogaine training event for 2023!

Registrations are now open for our annual training event, aimed at all those who wish to learn about or improve on their rogaining skills, at Lions Dryandra Woodland Village on 26th-28th May 2023.

Volunteering is part and parcel of the culture of rogaining in WA. Unlike many other states, the WA rogaining association has been able to keep prices low and event quality high by the many members who every so often kindly forego an event to help out with administration, hash house, setting, vetting, first aid, or truck driving duties.

People step forward for the event roles usually in the last few weeks leading up to the event which is alway very much appreciated.
