Details

The location of the first event for the year, the Upside Down Rogaine will be in the Jarrahwood State Forest which is approx 2:45 hrs south of Perth and 1hr south of Bunbury. The map will include bush, tracks and a good amount of pine plantation with complex forest boundaries and tracks. This area is new to WARA and will be the first we've had here.

Upside Down Rogaines are summer events which avoid the heat of the day and go through the cool of the night from Saturday 8pm until Sunday 8am. Come down on Saturday, bring your own dinner and enjoy the event, camp the night, head out early again and enjoy the HH breakfast on Sunday morning. We are not holding USD's regularly so come and enjoy this rare event, the favourite of many experienced rogainers.

Location

Jarrahwood State Forest.

Event schedule

  • Event duration is 12 hours from 8:00pm to 8:00am on Saturday 7th March to Sunday 8th March.
  • Maps handed out at 5pm.
  • 7:45 pm - pre-event briefing at the start
  • 8:00 pm - event start
  • 8:00 am  – event  finish - any team arriving after this time gets penalised 10 points per minute.
  • 8:30 am - event close - teams arriving after this time are disqualified.

Entry

  • Adult $60, Junior (under 18) $30, Child (under 10) Free
  • Entries close the Tuesday midnight 3rd of March, late fees of $20 per person apply from Sunday the 1st.
  • Between 2 and 5 people per team.
  • No refund for cancellations after close of entries.

Transport and Directions

  • Final Instructions will be emailed to you in the week leading up to the event.

Services

Team changes and additions (you can remove and add team members, as long as you stay within min 2 and max 5 people per team) at rego desk, bring cash for additional entry payments.
