Swan Saunter is the first WARA event for 2025 - Saturday 5 April. Setters are busy looking for control positions that can be accessed by foot or paddle. Expect to get wet if you want to clear this river based course.
Like last year's course there will be no planning time, with maps distributed once the clock starts. Competitors will need to pay close attention to the control description, as there will be no orange and white markers at controls (just the beeper). Compasses might help, but are not critical.
Drive time from Perth is under 30mins, all on tarmac. Timing TBA.
Bring your own kayak, trailing rudder recommended to avoid shallow water hazards. Double plastic sit on top kayaks can be hired from
Setter - Cody Pope
Vetters - David Smith, Alan Kerr, David Longman
Note - Paddling is optional as the majority of controls will be accessible by foot.
Entries are now open. Closing date TBC (Likely 3-April).
